You'll find spicy jerk chicken and pork everywhere, and seasoned with a mix of chillies, ginger, pepper and soy sauce. Try the ever-present rice n' peas, actually made with rice, coconut milk and beans, not peas! Fresh seafood is popular and curried goat is a local delicacy. Evening flavour
Alive with reggae and ragga, Jamaica has a fantastic night vibe. Head for James Street in Ocho Rios, for bars and discos galore, or Island Village, home of Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, where 100-ft long waterslide plunges over the bar into a freshwater pool.
